Israel Launches More Strikes Against Hezbollah Facilities In Beirut

Before that, the Israel Defence Forces urged residents of homes near ‘dangerous Hezbollah facilities, against which the Defence Forces will soon launch strikes’ to evacuate. The IDF subsequently confirmed that it was striking Hezbollah facilities in several southern suburbs of Beirut, and promised to release more details later.

The IDF called for the evacuation of residents in southern Beirut at night - before 3 a.m. - when, CNN noted ‘a lot of people are probably asleep’. It also reminded that about a million people have been moved in Lebanon in recent weeks. Thousands of those who have been moved have found refuge in Beirut, including in school buildings in the south of the city.
Meanwhile, The Times of Israel, citing a Lebanese security source, reported at least five Israeli strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs early Wednesday morning after two calls for civilians in the Beirut suburb of Dahiya to ‘clear areas around certain buildings’ .
‘At least five Israeli strikes hit the southern suburbs of Beirut,’ said the publication's anonymous interlocutor.
The Times of Israel also reports fires at the landing sites.
‘The Israeli military said that ‘for now they are striking Hezbollah terrorist targets in Beirut,′ the publication added.
