Which Region In Belarus Drinks The Most

Minsk holds the last place.

The National Statistical Committee calculated how much alcohol Belarusians consumed last year. The total volume was 11.5 liters. It is calculated from the volume of registered and unregistered alcohol consumption per capita among Belarusians over 15 years old.

It was also calculated how much alcohol is consumed in different regions of Belarus. The leaders are the Mahiliou region (12.5 liters), slightly behind is the Vitsebsk region (12.2 liters). The third place is occupied by two regions at once — Hrodna and Minsk (11.5 liters each). In the Brest region, the figure was 11.3 liters, and in the Homel region — 11.

Interestingly, Minsk holds the last place with “only” 10.8 liters.
