This Week To Become Defining For Lukashenka

Time is running out.

It's been a little more than a week since the ‘Order of Pensioner’ and it's already time to go to the meeting with Putin again.

There is even less in the luggage than last time. The Dazhynki tour, unity marathons and other window dressing are absolutely unsellable assets.

Attempts to probe stances of Americans and some other countries are difficult to pass off as negotiations. The result is the opposite. Serious things are not solved this way, but they did manage to irritate the Kremlin.

The North Korean military in Ukraine is a direct rebuke to Lukashenka. In the eyes of his elder brother, he has become just Prigozhin at full power with exactly the same guarantees.

Kazan, by the way, will be farther away and it will be more difficult to repeat the trick with the ‘broken plane’.

The outcome of the summit in Kazan will be a marker for the security forces and the regime's nomenclature as to which way to turn.

Time is running out. Balancing does not work. Hustle and bustle only worsens the situation.
