Scandal On Russian TV: Duma Deputy Admits Weakness Of Russian Army
ALEXEI ZHURAVLEV

The goals in Donbass have not been achieved.

Kremlin propaganda is preparing Russians for a long war. Duma deputy and ardent supporter of the so-called ‘SMO’ Alexei Zhuravlev has admitted that Russia's army is too weak. He made the corresponding statement on air of the state TV channel ‘Russia 1’, reports ‘Dialogue.UA.

Zhuravlev said that the Russian Armed Forces are not capable of a quick offensive in Ukraine despite having an advantage over the AFU in both manpower and weapons. He also said that the occupation of Donbass alone would take years.

‘With the clear superiority of our armed forces, we are not advancing as fast as we would like. If we take this pace, the ‘liberation’ of Donbass is not a matter of months, but of years. Several years,’ the Russian MP said.

It is noteworthy that in the first days of the war, the same Russian propaganda claimed that the Russian Armed Forces would reach the borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions ‘in a matter of days’. Today, after two and a half years of large-scale fighting, this goal has not been achieved. Moreover, the Russian Federation has lost control over part of its Kursk region.
