Young Prisoner Dies In Ivatsevichy Prison

Human rights activists report a suicide.

A prisoner has died in the Ivatsevichy prison No. 22 called the Wolf's Coverts ("Vouchy Nory"). The administration wants to hide this incident, human rights activists report.

As MAYDAY TEAM learned, the young man was serving his sentence in the 9th detachment. Now the entire detachment is prohibited from calling, since the administration of the correctional facility is taking measures to hide information about the incident.

His parents were also warned about the inadmissibility of disclosing the circumstances of the boy's death. The body of the deceased was given to them on the weekend, and he was buried immediately.

According to unconfirmed information, the cause of death could have been suicide. The young man could not withstand the pressure, human rights activists write.
