British Intelligence Reveals Next Place Of Russian Advance After Vuhledar

Two main directions have been shown on the map.

After capturing the city of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region, the Russian occupiers are likely to continue their offensive. The village of Bohoyavlenka and the large settlement of Velyka Novosilka may be under threat.

This was reported by British intelligence on X.

It is reported that on October 1, Russian troops took control of the city of Vuhledar at the intersection of two key fronts - Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk. The capture occurred shortly after the occupiers resumed their offensive campaign in September. By the end of the month, the troops had almost surrounded Vuhledar and forced the Ukrainian forces to retreat.

Russia has made sporadic attempts to capture Vuhledar over the past two years, suffering heavy losses. The city is located on a hill, which made it a good position from a defensive point of view.

"Russian forces are likely to try to continue their offensive in the coming weeks. In the west, one of the likely targets is Velyka Novosilka towards Zaporizhzhia along the T0509 highway. Bohoyavlenka is 8 km to the north," British intelligence noted.
