Russian Su-25 Jet Crashes Near Konstiantinvka Losing Air Battle

On the morning of Saturday, October 5, a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft crashed into residential buildings in the Konstiantinvka area of Donbas. Aircraft destruction videos from the crash site have already been promptly published online, DIALOG.UA reports.

The Su-25 attack aircraft with a red star mark on its wings, which confirms its belonging to the Russian Aerospace Forces, crushed on residential buildings. Whether there were any casualties at the crash site is unknown currently.

Apparently, the Russian warplane flew into the zone of control of the Ukrainian air defence and expectedly was eliminated.

Preliminary footage of the aircraft destruction after being shot down by another aircraft during an air battle has been published.

Z-channels rushed to announce the shooting down of the Ukrainian plane under the Chasiv Yar. Now that the footage has arrived, they have started deleting these messages.

Military expert Yan Matveev commented on the incident. He noted that several videos have already appeared from different angles of the air battle, this confirms the reliability of the information.

"One of the sources claims that this is the Su-25, but I have not seen pixel photos the assault jet, especially black and white ones. Let's wait for the details... It is embarrassing why the Su-25 near the front get to such a height. But everything speaks in favor of the fact that the footage is real," he wrote.

Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Yuriy Mysyahin suggested that the Russian side could fall victim to "friendly fire".

"There was no such thing as the invaders shooting down their own plane, and even in the daytime," he wrote on Telegram.

However, given the place where the aircraft fell, the more likely version is that it was destroyed by the Ukrainian forces.

It should be noted that Su-25 attack aircraft can carry KAB and FAB bombs. They provide very active fire support to the advancing forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Donbas, literally erasing settlements and positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with aerial bombs.
