Lithuanian customs officers have stepped up their control of passenger trains traveling from Kaliningrad to Moscow. As a result, they discovered several batches of military equipment camouflaged among ordinary cargo.
Delfi reported.
The items discovered were camouflage trousers, camouflage nets, and other military uniforms.
According to the Custom Services, such cargo, presumably intended for the Russian armed forces participating in the war against Ukraine, has been repeatedly sent by public organizations from the Kaliningrad region.
The largest discovery was made on October 2 at the Kybartai railway station, where a batch of camouflage trousers was found in a railway mail car of the Kaliningrad-Moscow train. Even earlier, from September 27 to 29, customs officers arrested several batches of camouflage nets on the same route.
The confiscated goods were handed over by Lithuanian customs as aid to Ukraine.
