Pyongyang threatens with “tragic consequences”.
North Korea is threatening NATO countries with “tragic consequences” due to criticism from the Alliance regarding military cooperation between the DPRK and Russia.
This was reported by the North Korean state news agency KCNA, citing the DPRK Foreign Ministry.
The North Korean ministry stated that the Alliance is going to take the front line of confrontation with the DPRK due to words criticizing cooperation between the DPRK and Russia during the visit of the new NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Pyongyang repeated the thesis of Russian propaganda about NATO's guilt in Russia's attack on Ukraine. The DPRK notes that NATO is allegedly “stretching its tentacles” to the Korean Peninsula and the Asia-Pacific region, trying to find justification for its existence after the end of the Cold War.
“If NATO continues its attempts to encroach on the dignity, sovereignty, security and interests of the DPRK, while continuing its hostile policy towards it, the Alliance will bear full responsibility for the tragic consequences that this will entail,” the ministry said.
