On suspicion of leaking Israel's data.
The FBI has arrested Asif Rahman, an employee of the Central Intelligence Agency, on suspicion of leaking classified documents about an impending Israeli airstrike on Iran, Radio Svaboda reports.
The document labelled ‘top secret’ was published on a Telegram channel dedicated to the Middle East. Because of the leak, Israel had to postpone the strike. It was carried out at the end of October.
Last week a federal court in Virginia brought two charges against Rahman - willful withholding and passing on national defence information.
Rahman was arrested in Cambodia on November 12 and taken to federal court on the island of Guam for bringing the charges.
