Wagner PMC Column Shot In Mali

Two cars were blown up.

In central Mali, militants of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda attacked a convoy of Russian mercenaries of the PMC Wagner. Information about this is being disseminated by channels associated with the radical Islamist group Al-Qaeda and its African wing. Al-Qaeda is recognized as a terrorist organization by Western countries, Radio Liberty reports.

The photographs that the Islamists are posting online show weapons, ammunition, and equipment they have seized, including those with the PMC emblems.

The attack allegedly took place on November 21 in central Mali. The militants report that they killed at least seven Wagner mercenaries and blew up two cars.

The previous major attack on PMC Wagner units in Mali occurred at the end of July. Then, at the border between Mali and Algeria, the Wagnerites clashed with Tuareg rebels. Several dozen armed fighters were killed on both sides, the exact number of the dead is unknown.

In Mali, Wagner PMC mercenaries operate as part of government troops. The Malian authorities call them military instructors.
