A new symptom of illness or fear?
The day after the intercontinental ballistic missile strike on the Dnipro, Putin made a video address during which he did not move his hands or fingers once.
This interesting detail was noted by BILD open data analysis expert Julian Röpcke. The Kremlin ruler's speech lasted 7 minutes and 45 seconds. Repke noted that during this entire time, the dictator did not move his hands or fingers once, “as if they were glued to the table”.
The analyst emphasized that Putin had previously gesticulated frequently during other addresses. He admitted that this time it was a video edit, when the immobilized hands were “drawn” onto the body.
According to Röpcke, this could have been done because the dictator was ill or to hide his anxiety. He pointed out that the very next day Putin took part in a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, where he passed his fingers through the sheets of paper with the speech and sometimes gesticulated.
“These images showed that Putin was threatening the entire world, but he himself could not move his own hands even once,” Röpcke summed up.
