The fire started.
On Monday night, November 25, drones attacked an oil refinery in the Russian city of Kaluga. Russian media report a fire at the site of the strike.
According to the Russian ‘Beware of the News’ Telegram channel, local residents report that they heard the sounds of at least three UAVs and an explosion before the fire started.
At the same time, Kaluga Region Governor Vladislav Shapsha said that the local air defence allegedly shot down three drones, and their wreckage ‘caused a fire on the territory of a local industrial enterprise’.
It is known that during the Soviet era, 90% of Kaluga's enterprises worked for the defence industry. The factories were manufacturing high-tech products for armoured vehicles, air defence systems, the Air Force and the Russian Navy.
