Almost 100,000 Russians Have Been Living Without Power For A Week Due To Snowfall

And this is not the limit.

The Mash Telegram channel reports that in the Central Federal District (CFD) of Russia, about 100,000 people have been living without power for almost a week due to heavy snowfall.

The publication's data indicate that the precipitation knocked down trees and tore down power lines. It is noted that heaters, boilers, kettles, stoves and other electrical equipment do not work in people's homes.

The Mash cites statistics according to which, as of the current moment, 48,000 people have no power in the Smolensk region, about the same number in the Tver region and 11,000 in the Kaluga region, namely in the Spas-Demensky, Lyudinovsky, Kirovsky and Yukhnovsky districts.

According to the most optimistic forecasts, repairs can be completed by this evening, and in the worst case - by the end of the week.
