The Right Response To Putin's Bragging

The bluff was exposed, and the blackmail didn't work.

When the elderly Soviet Pioneer (aka the erf Oreshnik) didn't scare anyone, when the bluff was exposed, and the blackmail didn't work, when the long-range strikes on the strategic military infrastructure of the Russian Federation continued, Moscow had to do the only thing it knows how to do — poison the lives of ordinary people.

Last night, substations were bombed again, leaving entire cities without electricity.

Putin's boastful speech following the bombing clearly shows that this is the method he intends to use to force Ukraine to abandon long-range strikes on the Russian Federation — since the medium-range missile didn't help. (Although he threatened Oreshnik again, because you can't just forget about something you spent so many PR resources on).

What can I say... Sitting without electricity, especially in freezing temperatures, is unpleasant. But it's not fatal: during the war, we've all been in this situation many times. All key government facilities, like hospitals, have had generators for a long time. The vast majority of private businesses have them too. People are saving themselves with power banks, ecoflows, and gas stoves. Some are installing solar panels, some are buying generators. And the West is helping with equipment to quickly restore the electrical infrastructure. In short, we're coping.

Only now I especially want to see a massive drone (or missile) attack on power plants and important substations throughout the Russian Federation. We need to burn at least a dozen of them — right before winter sets in. There will be no one to restore them there, and the Russian Federation doesn't have the necessary equipment. That would be the right response to Putin's bragging.
