Russian Defence Minister Arrives In DPRK With Unannounced Visit

Head of the Russian Defence Ministry Andrei Belousov arrived in the DPRK with an official visit. The preparation of this visit was not known earlier, RBC writes.

‘During the official visit of the Russian Defence Minister to the DPRK, a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of the military and military-political leadership of the Republic are planned,’ the report said.

Belousov was met at Sunan airport by DPRK Defence Minister Army General Roh Gwan Chol.

South Korean, Western and Ukrainian intelligence agencies report that the DPRK may send about 12,000 military to Russia. They are expected to take part in direct combat operations on the side of Russia. Moscow and the DPRK do not comment on this in detail. At the same time, it is noted that North Korean soldiers are already taking part in battles and suffering losses.

The DPRK is one of the main suppliers of artillery shells to the Russian army, Western and South Korean intelligence reports say. Deliveries of tactical missile systems and upcoming deliveries of winter military uniforms have also been reported.
