Battles are underway with Assad's army.

On the outskirts of the city of Aleppo in northern Syria, clashes are taking place between forces of the Bashar al-Assad regime and armed groups opposing it, Anadolu reports.

In connection with what is happening, residents of the suburbs and center of Aleppo are fleeing to the regime-controlled capital Damascus.

As of the morning of November 29, clashes began on the outskirts of Aleppo.

Many close supporters of the regime began to flee from Aleppo to Damascus.

Armed groups took control of the Scientific Research Center, located in one of the suburbs of Aleppo. It was used by regime forces for military purposes. It is alleged that the center produces key military components, including barrel bombs and artillery batteries.

Armed groups also captured one of the largest settlements in Aleppo — Anadan.

As of November 29, anti-regime groups have taken control of an area of about 550 square kilometers on the front lines in Idlib and Aleppo.

Meanwhile, this morning, Russian warplanes struck the headquarters of the Syrian opposition in the Mare region of northern Syria. The attack caused no casualties, only material damage.

During the clashes, Assad regime forces struck civilian settlements with surface-to-surface weapons.
