(updated) A landslide victory for Republicans.
Republican Donald Trump has won the US presidential election after projections showed him leading in the "swing" state of Wisconsin, the Associated Press agency's own tally shows.
That puts Trump over the 270 votes needed to win the presidential election. He will become the 47th president of the United States.
Associated Press declared Trump the winner at 05:34 Eastern North American Time (13:34 MST).
Wisconsin brought Trump a decisive 10 electoral college votes, increasing the total number of votes for Trump to 292, according to the publication. Vice President Kamala Harris has 224 votes.
In 2016, he also won Wisconsin by a narrow margin, becoming the first Republican since Ronald Reagan to win that state. In 2020, he lost the state to Democrat Joe Biden.
The US presidential election was held on November 5. The last polling stations in America closed on November 6 at 9:00 a.m. Minsk time.
