The Car Line At The Polish Border Breaks Records

This is a new maximum since the beginning of the year.

A record line of cars has appeared on the Belarusian-Polish border. According to the monitoring of the State Border Committee, on the night of November 6, more than 1,500 cars were waiting to leave Belarus. Since the beginning of the year, this is a new maximum, writes Zerkalo.

By morning, the number of cars on the "track" began to slowly decrease. As of 12:00 on November 6, 1,310 cars were waiting to leave Belarus. About 20 buses are idle next to them.

"The neighbouring side [Poland - Ed.] continues to accept no more than 40% of the cars from the norm into its territory," the press service of the State Border Committee commented on the reason for the line.

In one of the chats on crossing the border, a driver said that the journey to Poland took him two days. On November 4, at about 8.50, he checked in at the waiting area in front of the checkpoint. The bot calculated a call to the border in 1 day 18 hours 54 minutes. The driver arrived at the checkpoint on the Belarusian side on November 6 at 3.35. By that time, "the car had been in the queue for 1 day 18 hours 43 minutes." On November 6, at 8.35, the man drove into Poland.

There are no queues of cars or buses at the other checkpoints on the border between Belarus and the EU countries. As for trucks, there are 1,180 of them on the outer contour. Of these, 600 are idle in "Kazlovichy" (Poland), 300 in "Ryhoravshchyna" (Latvia), 160 in "Beniakoni" (Lithuania), and 120 in "Kamenny Loh" (Lithuania).
