Zelensky: There Are First Agreements With Trump

The President of Ukraine held telephone talks with the elected head of the White House.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a telephone conversation with Donald Trump. The Ukrainian leader said that their conversation was excellent and they have agreements.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the post of the President of Ukraine on the X social network (former Twitter).

‘Had a wonderful phone conversation with President Trump and congratulated him on his historic and convincing victory - this result was possible thanks to his impressive election campaign. Praised his family and team for their excellent work,’ the president said.

Zelensky added that together with Trump they agreed to maintain a close dialogue and ‘develop our cooperation’ between the countries.

‘Strong and unwavering US leadership is vital for peace and for a just world,’ the Ukrainian head of state added.

Zelensky congratulated Trump on his election victory back in the morning of November 6, publishing a post on X. In his post, the Ukrainian president stressed that he appreciated the Republican's commitment to the ‘peace through strength’ approach, which ‘can really bring a just peace in Ukraine closer’.
