Zelensky: We Need 'Peace Through Strength' And No Concessions To Putin

The President of Ukraine spoke at the European Political Community Meeting in Budapest.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the idea of any concessions to Russia is unacceptable for Ukraine, he considers it suicide for all of Europe.

This was discussed during the president's speech at the summit of the European Political Community in Budapest, European Pravda reports.

According to Zelensky, since the previous meeting in this format, Russia's war has significantly intensified, since North Korea is now, in fact, waging a war in Europe.

The president recalled that after the European Political Community Meeting in Britain in July, there was a lot of talk about the need to give in to Putin.

"And some of those present here resolutely advocated for Ukraine to make concessions to Putin. This is unacceptable for Ukraine and suicide for all of Europe. And what next?

Should Europe seek the favour of Kim Jong-un in the hope that he will also leave Europe alone? Not a single strong leader who helped build a united, strong and peaceful Europe could even imagine this," Zelensky said.

At the same time, according to him, the concept of "peace through strength" has proven its realism and effectiveness more than once.

"Now it is needed once again. And there should be no illusions that by showing weakness or surrendering some European positions or the positions of any European country, you can buy a fair peace," he emphasized.
