Knesset Approves Appointments New Defence Minister, Foreign Minister

The ministers took the oath of office.

At a plenary session on Thursday evening, November 7, the Knesset (Israel's parliament) approved the appointment of Yisrael Katz as defence minister and the appointment of Gideon Saar as foreign minister, Details reported.

This was reported by the website of Channel 13. Yisrael Katz and Gideon Saar both took the oath of office. Katz, a former foreign minister, will take over as defence minister in place of Yoav Galant, whose controversial dismissal at the height of the war sparked mass street protests. Saar will take Katz's place.
