‘Moscow And About 20 Military Airfields Appear Within Radius Of Destruction’

A military analyst is speaking about the capabilities of the Ukrainian drone missile “Peklo”.
The drone missile “Peklo” is a new word in the capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in striking military targets on the territory of the Russian Federation. This was said by Ukrainian military and political analyst Dmytro Snegirev.
“A drone missile is a weapon that combines the properties of both an unmanned aerial vehicle and, accordingly, a missile. It is capable of autonomous flight, hitting targets at a long distance and carrying a warhead. In our case, the Peklo can hit targets at a distance of about 700 kilometers. The warhead, according to experts, is about 50 kg,” Snegirev noted.
A drone missile differs from traditional ones in its ability to change course, bypass obstacles and operate in conditions of counteraction by an electronic warfare system, the analyst explained.
“The development of such systems is due to the need for precise target destruction, minimization of immediate risks for the military and cost reduction compared to traditional means,” the speaker added.
According to Snegirev, the cost of the Peklo drone missile is about one million dollars.
“The weapon has a small-sized turbojet engine. The wings and other parts of the drone missile indicate that it was created according to an aerodynamic design with an inertial navigation system, which allows it to avoid enemy electronic warfare as much as possible and, accordingly, the possibility of destruction by air defense systems,” the analyst emphasized.
At the moment, five successful cases of the Defense Forces using the Peklo drone missile are already known, Snegirev added.
— Not only the capital of the aggressor state is within the radius of destruction, but also about 20 airfields of the tactical aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Moreover, such key airfields as Millerovo, Savasleyka and Engels appear within the destruction zone. The Engels and Savasleyka airfields are the bases of strategic bombers of the Russian Federation, which it uses for terror, primarily against the civilian population of Ukrainian cities, the expert emphasized.
According to Snegirev, the Peklo is a truly innovative breakthrough of the Ukrainian defense industry.
“There is another very interesting detail: on the upper part of the fuselage of the drone missile, the mounting structures indicate that it can possibly be launched not from the ground, but from air carriers, that is, fighters. This increases its tactical and technical characteristics and the ability to hit targets in the deep regions of the Russian Federation,” Snegirev said.
The mass nature of the use of these drone missiles, the analyst believes, casts doubt on the enemy's use of airfields deep in the Russian Federation.
“Now we can strike the territory of the Russian Federation with a range of hitting targets twice that of the American ATACMS. Therefore, this is a completely new word in the capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in striking military targets on the territory of the Russian Federation. Russia is effectively deprived of such a concept as a monopoly on striking decision-making centers,” the expert concluded.
