Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree dismissing Akylbek Japarov, the head of the country's government, who also headed the presidential administration, local media reported on Monday, December 16. The official document has not yet been published, writes Deutsche Welle.

First Deputy Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev has been appointed acting chairman of the cabinet of ministers. From 2015 to 2018, he headed the country's Ministry of Finance. Interfax sources in the presidential administration reported that there will be no resignation of the government after Japarov's departure, all ministers would retain their posts.
Akylbek Japarov was Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and simultaneously headed the Ministry of Economy and Finance in June - October 2021. He became Chairman of the Cabinet on October 13, 2021.
