A day before the liquidation of Kirillov, he was handed a notice of suspicion.
Yesterday, the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) published a notice of suspicion for the Chief of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, who was killed in Moscow this morning.
It is alleged that he is responsible for the use of chemical weapons against the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the eastern and southern fronts of Ukraine.
“By order of Kirillov, more than 4.8 thousand cases of the enemy using chemical munitions have been recorded since the beginning of the full-scale war,” the report says.
In particular, we are talking about K-1 combat grenades, which are equipped with toxic irritants - CS and CN. Their use is prohibited by the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Use of Chemical Weapons, the SBU claims.
The SBU writes that it identified Russian grenades with toxic substances and corresponding soil samples on the battlefield and handed them over to the International Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
Two laboratories allegedly confirmed these war crimes of Russia.
"Based on the collected evidence, the investigative bodies of the Security Service informed Kirillov of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (a war crime committed by prior conspiracy of a group of persons)," the SBU statement said.
The explosion occurred on the morning of December 17 in Moscow. The head of the radiation, chemical and biological defence troops of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, and his driver were killed. The explosives were probably in the car that was parked near the house.
Kirillov is known for accusing the United States of creating combat mosquitoes for Ukraine: he talked about biolabs in Ukraine created by the United States, which studied viruses that can be transmitted through mosquitoes. He also spoke about the United States' plans to deliver mosquitoes using drones to infect the enemy. He also explained the increase in bird flu in Russia by the migration of infected birds from Ukraine.
Today Kirillov was supposed to have another briefing with the Ministry of Defense, Channel 112 writes.
