Revenge Strike: Israel Attacks Hussite Positions In Yemen

After launching a rocket from their side.

The Israel Defence Forces have launched strikes against the positions of the Houthis in Yemen. The reason was a series of drone attacks by the militants, as well as a rocket attack on the country this night.

This was reported by The Times of Israel.

According to an IDF statement, the targets on the west coast and deep inside Yemen that were hit by Israeli aircraft ‘were used by the Hussite forces for their military operations.’

‘Attacks on these targets harm the terrorist authorities by preventing the infrastructure from being used for military and terrorist purposes, in particular to transfer Iranian weapons to the region,’ the military said.

The Israeli military also said that ‘under Iran's leadership and funding,’ the Houthis have acted with other militants over the past year to attack Israel, ‘undermine regional stability and disrupt global shipping.’

A Dire Warning

Israeli Defence Minister Yisrael Katz issued a warning to Houthi leaders following overnight Israeli strikes in Yemen.

‘Israel's long arm will reach you. Whoever raises his hand will get it chopped off. Whoever hits (us) will be hit repeatedly,’ he said.

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari confirmed that the targets of the ‘precision strikes’ were ‘ports and energy infrastructure’ in the rebel-controlled capital Sanaa, which the Houthis used for ‘their military operations’.

‘With their attacks on international ships and routes in the Red Sea and elsewhere, the Houthis have become a global threat. Who is behind the Houthis? Iran,’ he said in an English-language video message and pledged that the military will act against anyone who threatens Israel in the Middle East.
