Russian dictator's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Russia does not see "prerequisites for ending" the war in Ukraine, the RIA Novosti propaganda agency wrote on Monday, December 30.

"There are currently no prerequisites for ending the Ukrainian conflict or any of its phases," Peskov said.

Amid reports online about "historic meetings" and "the end of the hot phase of the war," Peskov said on December 30 that Putin had no international contacts scheduled for Monday.

Peskov may have responded to a statement by Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon. Yesterday, December 29, he said that "an important meeting will take place on December 30 that will put an end to the hot phase of the war."
