Pentagon: About Thousand DPRK Soldiers Died Near Kursk

They are not effective on the battlefield.

The US Department of Defense confirms that the losses among North Korean soldiers who are fighting for the Russian troops against the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kursk amount to approximately a thousand people. The DPRK military is not effective on the battlefield.

This was stated by Deputy Press Secretary of the Pentagon Sabrina Singh at a briefing in Washington on Monday, December 30. Her words were quoted on the official website of the US Defense Department.

“The White House recently announced that about 1,000 [Democratic People's Republic of Korea] soldiers were killed or wounded in the Kursk region. This is also our assessment,” Singh said.

She noted that the North Korean military is not effective in the fighting in the Kursk region, where the Defense Forces are conducting an operation, and is suffering heavy losses.
