Navapolatsk Native Accused Of Sabotaging BAM
Siarhei Yerameieu

He took part in the strikes at the Naftan plant.

In Russia, the main investigative actions have been completed in the criminal case of two explosions on the BAM (Baikal-Amur Mainline), a citizen of Belarus is accused in this case.

As Kommersant reports, a citizen of Belarus, Siarhei Yerameieu, who is accused of installing magnetic mines on trains carrying fuel, fully admitted his guilt, naming another Belarusian hiding abroad as the organizer of the crime.

The Basmanny District Court extended Yerameieu's detention in pretrial detention for up to a year.

Siarhei Yerameieu, 53, is accused of committing two crimes under paragraphs "a" and "c" of Part 2 of Article 205 (terrorist acts carried out by prior agreement or by an organized group and causing significant property damage) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

We are talking about explosions on November 29 and 30, 2023, on trains with oil products travelling from Taishet to Tynda and Neryungri along the Baikal-Amur Mainline and leading to the fire of diesel fuel tanks.

FSB officers detained Yeremeyev in Omsk in December last year.

Yerameieu previously worked at the Naftan Oil Refinery in Navapolatsk, from where he was fired in 2020 for participating in strikes.
