Media: Plane Carrying Assad, Who Fled Syria, Crashed

The whereabouts of the former dictator are currently unknown.

According to verified information, the plane carrying Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad suddenly began to lose altitude and then disappeared from radar, TSN reports.

According to FlightRadar, the Il-76T aircraft with the number SYR9218, which allegedly carried Assad, crashed near Al-Suwayri.

There was an explosion at the site of the alleged crash; the plane had previously disappeared from radar.
