The elected president of the United States said he was ‘formulating a concept of how to end the war’.
The elected US President Donald Trump said he was ‘formulating a concept’ of peace for Ukraine. The US leader also said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin had lost because he had suffered the loss of 700,000 men on the frontline.
In comments to The New York Post, Trump said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was ready for ‘peace’ and a ceasefire.
‘Zelensky is ready for a ceasefire. He wants to make peace,’ the newly elected US President noted.
According to Trump, Kyiv's position is ‘an important step forward.’ However, he noted that he had not spoken to Zelensky about the details.
‘He (Zelensky - ed) thinks it's time (for peace talks - ed), and Putin should think it's time because he has lost. When you lose 700,000 people, it means it's time. This will not end until there is peace,’ Trump emphasised.
