Małgorzata Gosiewska supported the heroic political prisoner.
Head of the European Parliament delegation for relations with Belarus Małgorzata Gosiewska supported the prisoners of conscience held by the Lukashenka regime at a conference in Lublin, Poland, in particular the Polish journalist Andrzej Poczobut and the activist of the European Belarus civil campaign Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk:
— We have many things in common with Belarus. We do not have any difficult issues with Belarusians, except for the Lukashenka regime, which belittles democratic Belarus and attacks Polish history on these lands, insulting us.
There are political prisoners in Belarus, for whose release we must constantly fight.
There are prisoners with Polish roots there. There is Andrzej Poczobut, there is Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk — a wonderful woman, a mother of two children, who is probably treated the worst among female political prisoners. I try to speak loudly about this in the European Parliament.
