Zelensky Makes Personnel Changes In Both Headquarters And National Security And Defense Council

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made personnel replacements within the composition of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters and the composition of the National Security and Defense Council.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Decrees of the President of Ukraine ##67 and 68.

Zelensky introduced the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrsky, to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters. Also, by decree #67, the head of state removed Valery Zaluzhny from the Headquarters.

By another decree, Zelensky introduced Syrsky to the National Security and Defense Council. At the same time, Valery Zaluzhny and former Minister of Veterans Affairs Yulia Laputina were removed from the National Security and Defense Council.

This week, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Valery Zaluzhny from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleksandr Syrsky was appointed in his place; before that he was commander of the Ground Forces.

In addition, Zelensky changed the command of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Anatoly Barhilevich was appointed as the new chief.
