There is a huge fire glow over the capital of Russia.
The Moscow Times reports that there is a huge fire glow near the Moscow Oil Refinery in Kapotnya.
The video was published by the Shot telegram channel.
Residents of the Moscow districts of Kapotnya, Maryino and Brateevo reported that at around 02:30 a.m. they saw a fire glow in the sky.
Some eyewitnesses claim that an ambulance and two fire trucks rushed to the scene, but the Moscow department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed us that "there are no active fires on the territory of Moscow."
Since last year, drones with cameras have been conducting reconnaissance of the area around Moscow's largest oil refinery. The last time a quadrocopter was spotted near Gazpromneft's Kapotnya refinery in August 2023. At that time, police officers found a video camera on the drone.
Also in early March last year, police detained a 37-year-old man who was taking photos near the refinery in Kapotnya Street. It turned out that he was a native of Ukraine and had come to Russia shortly before the war started.
The Gazpromneft refinery in Kapotnya provides 40% of Moscow's needs for petrol and 50% for diesel fuel, and is also the main supplier of fuel for the capital's airports. In fact, every third car in Moscow is fuelled with petrol from this refinery.
We remind you that the Ukrainian minister for innovation, education, science and technology, Mykhaylo Fedorov, said that the AFU was preparing massive drone strikes on Moscow and St Petersburg.
