Ihar Lednik, a political prisoner, former member of the Hramada party, has died in the Babruisk colony No. 2. The activist was 64 years old.
The health condition of the activist deteriorated in detention, he underwent surgery on the gastrointestinal tract.
Ihar Lednik was detained back in April 2022 for an article in the BSDP party magazine - it contained "slander" against Lukashenka.
The activist was sentenced, although he has the 2nd group of disability due to heart problems.
In June 2022, the lawyer reported that the political prisoner's health had deteriorated, Ihar was in the sanitary unit of the detention centre in a recumbent position.
