BILD: Part Of Putin’s Entourage Turned Against Him After Navalny’s Murder

The Kremlin is trying to “pacify” them.

Among Putin’s supporters from the Russian leader’s circle, not everyone reacted positively to the news of the death of Alexei Navalny.

Thus, Carnegie Endowment expert Alexander Baunov explained the position of Russian propaganda that “the authorities allegedly do not benefit from the murder of an oppositionist.”

He said this in an interview with BILD.

“This is a slogan that is aimed at reassuring the loyalist-neutral part of the population, for whom murder may still cause certain discomfort,” he said.

The expert emphasized that we are talking about people who, for the most part, have not killed anyone themselves and do not intend to.

“Therefore, the very idea of political murder, regardless of everything, despite their patriotism and dislike for the enemies of the fatherland, does not give everyone comfortable psychological sensations,” Baunov concluded.
