AFU Confirm Retreat From Lastochkine

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have officially confirmed that our military has retreated from the village of Lastochkine near Avdiivka, Donetsk region. Earlier they were holding the defence on the outskirts of this village.

This was reported by the speaker of the Tavria operational-strategic group of troops Dmytro Likhovoy on the air of the TV marathon. These measures were taken to prevent further advance of the Russian armed forces.

"Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a retreat from the village of Lastochkine," he said.

According to him, this move was important for organising a defensive line through the settlements of Orlivka, Tonenke and Berdychi in order to prevent further enemy advances towards the west.
