General Hodges Indicates Possible Terms For Russia's Attack On NATO
Ben Hodges

The Kremlin will do what they threaten to do.

In case of success in Ukraine, Russia will launch an offensive against the Baltic states or another NATO state, the Kremlin's dream is to break the Alliance. Former Commander-in-Chief of the US Armed Forces in Europe Ben Hodges said this on Radio NV.

In Russia, they talk about such an attack openly, and if this happens, NATO will be drawn into a European ground war, according to the general stated.

"If Ukraine is not successful and Russia can defeat Ukraine, then I believe that Russia will do what it threatens to do. Namely: it will continue to attack Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia, or, possibly, Poland or Romania," he says.

"It is unlikely that the Kremlin will decide to invade Germany, but the countries neighboring Russia are under threat," Hodges warned.

“All they want to do is smash NATO. And to do this, they need to attack some Baltic state or Poland, and then stop and ask: "Do you really want a nuclear war over Lithuania?". If the answer is "no", then the Russians won, they broke NATO," said the former commander of the US forces in Europe.

According to him, Russia will be able to resort to aggression against NATO as soon as it recovers from the losses it suffers during the war in Ukraine.

"As for me, it is not a very difficult task for Russia to commit such aggression in three or four years. Of course, if Ukraine succeeds with the help of the United States, Germany, Great Britain, France, and other Western countries, then Russia will not be able to do it. Also, if the Alliance sticks together. If the United States is committed to it, if all the states are committed, then I think that Russia will not go further. But if we look weak, if we are not united, then Russia will be ready in three or four years,” Hodges added.
