Russia Engages ‘Last Resort Weapons’ At Front Line

Russian invaders are increasingly using ammunition with a poisonous substance in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

This was stated by the speaker of the Defense Forces of the Taurida direction Dmytro Likhovoy, RBC-Ukraine reports citing him on a telethon.

"As for the Zaporizhzhia direction, I can say such information that is a bit disturbing – the Russians are increasingly using ammunition with a poisonous substance," he said.

According to Likhovoy, over the previous week – from Monday to Sunday – there were about 60 drops of grenades with a toxic substance of suffocating and lacrimal action, mainly chloropicrin or something similar.

"There were nine such strikes yesterday. Almost everything is in the Zaporizhzhia direction. This is evidence that when the enemies cannot achieve the tasks in the usual way – artillery, aviation, FPV drones, they resort to some kind of “last resort weapons" – these are chemically poisonous substances when they want to smoke our troops out of the trenches in this way. We have to use personal protective gear and fight Russian drones that are involved in these attacks," he said.
