Drones Massively Attack Military Airfield Near Voronezh

The 899th Guards Air Assault Regiment is based there.

Voronezh region of Russia was attacked by more than 30 drones. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Gusev.

According to the Russian official, there have been "fly-ins" in Buturlinovka district.

According to the Russian media outlet of Astra, after the UAV attack, all schools and other educational institutions in Buturlinovka district have been temporarily switched to distance learning. In this regard, kindergartens have organised duty groups, the district administration reported.

According to local residents' reports, the town of Buturlinovka was attacked the most by UAVs.

According to open data, there is a military airfield with the same name 4 kilometres from Buturlinovka. The 899 Guards Air Assault Regiment is based there.

Gunfire was also heard in the town of Buturlinovka, local residents report.

In addition, it is reported that light disappeared in some parts of the town after the explosions.

"Our district has been attacked by UAVs! Held an emergency meeting of the operational headquarters. Now the consequences of the attack, possible damage to infrastructure facilities are being clarified. All services are working as usual," wrote the head of Buturlinovka district Yuri Matuzov.
