Media: Lukoil Vice President Found Hanged In His Office

New details of the Russian top oil exec’s death.

Vitaly Robertus, the vice president of Russian oil giant Lukoil, whose "sudden death" the company announced yesterday, committed suicide right at his workplace. He was found hanged in the toilet of his office.

The VChK-OGPU Telegram channel, close to the Russian security forces, reported this citing its sources.

It became known that during the day, colleagues suspected something was wrong, as Robertus stopped answering phone calls being at his workplace.

After there was no reaction to the knock on the door, a colleague went inside and found the body of the deceased hanged in the toilet.

Moreover, the interviewing witnesses showed that there had been a nervous situation in the office of the oil company recently, and the Vice President was very stressed.

Probably, drone strikes on Russian refineries have become a serious headache for Lukoil's leadership.

"The next death of another oil top in the prime of life (53 years) continues a whole series of sudden deaths of Russian oil execs. The profession, to put it mildly, is very dangerous, almost like at the front," Russian analyst Anatoly Nesmiyan comments on the news in a long series of mysterious deaths.
