New Rules For Truckers Introduced In Belarus

New Rules For Truckers Introduced In Belarus

They affect drivers from three countries.

The Ministry of Transport of Belarus allowed carriers from Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to enter the transhipment points for cargo operations. The resolution appeared on the National Legal Internet Portal.

As a reminder, since April 16, 2022, Belarus has banned road carriers registered in the EU from entering the country. The State Customs Committee has identified 14 checkpoints through which European trucks can go to specially designated places for cargo operations and trailer changes. Later, in response to the closure of checkpoints by Poland, the Ministry of Transport allowed entry into Belarus for trailer changes only from the territory of their country.

In early June 2022, it became known that Kazakhstan lifted the ban on trailer changes for freight carriers from Russia and Belarus. At that time, this decision was explained as "a manifestation of understanding and goodwill." And in May 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan allowed Belarusian carriers to change trailers and reloading schemes until January 1, 2024.

In October 2023, Kazakhstan again imposed a ban on trailer changes for Belarusian carriers. In February 2024, the country allowed carriers from the EAEU member states to carry out delivery using reloading and re-hooking operations.
