SSU Begins ‘Hunting’ Margarita Simonyan

The propagandist received suspicion on four criminal articles at once.

The Ukrainian Security Service has documented new crimes of Russian propagandist Margarita Simonyan, who is delighted with the Russian terrorist invasion of Ukraine and the murders of civilians.

The defendant heads the Kremlin’s propaganda channel, RT, and is part of the media pool of dictator Putin. According to the investigation, she was one of the first to support the full-scale invasion of Russia and the war crimes of the Russian occupiers, the SSU reported on its Facebook page.

Simonyan also campaigned many times for the continuation of missile and bomb attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine. She regularly disseminates Kremlin narratives in the form of original messages on her own Telegram channel and on Russian TV channels.

First of all, we are talking about her participation in the television program of another propagandist, Vladimir Solovyov.

Based on the collected evidence, Security Service investigators informed Simonyan of a new suspicion under four articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

Part 2 Article 442 (genocide);

Part 2 Article 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine);

Article 436 (war propaganda);

Part 3 Article 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

“Since the offender is hiding from justice in Russia, comprehensive measures are ongoing to bring her to justice,” the SSU summarized.
