War Criminal Girkin May Be Sent To War In Ukraine

Such a proposal has been made by his lawyer.

The defence of the war criminal, ex-head of the "DPR" Igor Strelkov (Girkin), who was sentenced to four years in prison in a case of extremism (part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code), will ask to send him to war in Ukraine, his lawyer Alexander Molokhov told RBC.

The lawyers appealed Strelkov's sentence in late January. According to Molokhov, the court hearing in the criminal case will be held in the First Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction in Moscow on May 15.

Molokhov's appeal is accompanied by a document that confirms the consent of one of the military units on the "DPR" territory to conclude a contract with Girkin.
