The IRGC special forces landed on board from a Mi-17 helicopter.
On Saturday, April 13, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked a civilian ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Portuguese-flagged container ship MSC ARIES was hijacked.
According to The Guardian, video footage published by the AP agency shows IRGC special forces landing from a helicopter on a ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
MSC ARIES, loaded to capacity with containers of goods, was heading from the United Arab Emirates to India.
While passing through the Strait of Hormuz, IRGC troops landed on board from a Mi-17 helicopter. One of the crew members captured this moment on video.
The MSC ARIES was of interest to the Iranians, presumably because of its possible connection with Israeli billionaire Eyal Efer.
The ship allegedly belongs to his company Zodiac Group, which is currently unconfirmed.
Tehran has not yet commented on the hijacking of the civilian vessel.
