The film about the Belarusian political prisoner got into the competitive programme of the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

We are talking about the feature film of "Under Grey Skies," a feature debut of director Mara Tamkovich ("Live," "Daughter"). The film is based on the fate of journalist Katsiaryna Andreyeva (Bakhvalava), who was sentenced in Belarus for more than 8 years of imprisonment on political grounds.

The festival will open on June 5. Its main mission is stated as the need for filmmakers to rethink their influence on public consciousness and popularise independent cinema.
