Three New F-16s Arrive In Romania To Train Ukrainian Pilots

The flight on one of them was made by the Minister of defence of the Netherlands.

On April 17, three multi-role fighters F-16 of the Royal Netherlands Air Force arrived in Romania, on which Ukrainian and Romanian pilots will be trained. This was reported on the X social network by the Romanian Defence Minister Angel Tilvar.

The Romanian Minister specified that the Dutch Defence Minister Kajsa Ollongren flew on one of the planes.

"Commending Dutch Defence Minister Kajsa Ollongren for her courage during her flight aboard an F-16 upon her arrival in Romania! Welcome! A few months after the opening of the F-16 Training Centre, Romanian pilots are being trained and Ukrainian pilots will soon join them," Tilvar wrote.

Romania's Ministry of National Defence specified that three new F-16s have arrived in the country.

Ollongren confirmed on the X that the three Dutch F-16s had been delivered to the European F-16 training centre in Romania.

"The training centre shows how important it is to join forces in Europe," she stressed.
