‘Ukraine Can Win The War Under Three Conditions’

The US State Department made an important statement.

There are three points on Ukraine’s realistic path to victory in the war — stabilization of the situation in the east of our state, as well as movement into the European Union and NATO.

This was stated by US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien during a briefing in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.

He noted that our state first of all needs to stabilize the situation in the east, and for this we need artillery, other types of weapons, as well as fortifications.

According to O'Brien, Ukraine needs to make sure it has the people to continue the fight against the aggressor country Russia. Also, the defenders of Ukraine need to destabilize the firing positions of the Russian occupiers.

The US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs noted that the above points are the most important elements on Ukraine’s path to victory. While this is happening, Ukraine will have two important changes in its global position this year.

“This will be the beginning of accession negotiations with the European Union and NATO will establish what we will call a bridge, something like a clear path to NATO membership,” he said.

O'Brien noted that under such conditions, Ukraine will be able to win this war, regardless of what plans Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has.

“I think this is the way forward. However, I will not predetermine what my boss and the Secretary of Defense will decide on the final strategy. But this is how I talked about it, and I think this is a very realistic path to a Ukrainian victory,” he said.
