The Ukrainian military has reacted to the statement of the Belarusian dictator.

Lukashenka said that his country is getting ready for a war. His words were commented on by Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, deputy commander of the 3rd separate assault brigade Maxim Zhorin.

He noted on his Telegram channel that he does not think that "tomorrow there will be an offensive from Belarus to Kyiv." However, Zhorin said Lukashenka's statements and the military exercises announced afterwards should be seen as an element of preparing for future participation in both a war with Ukraine and a war with Europe.

"De facto, Belarus lost its independence long ago. Russia has been launching missiles at Ukrainian cities from the territory of this region since the early days. Plus, the Kremlin has always liked to fight with people "not needed" for Putin - from retarded collaborators from ORDLO to Buryats. Why not involve the Belarusians, who are an absolutely legitimate "resource" in the view of the Russian Federation," wrote the AFU major.

Zhorin added that this could be "one of the final signals to the frightened West that it's worth to get ready for war".
