'This Will Be End For Lukashenka'

The Belarusian dictator wants to impress Putin.

Lukashenka is doing everything to show that Moscow needs him. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Centre for research of social prospects of Donbass Serhiy Garmash in an interview for the comments.ua website.

- As a politician, Lukashenka has no principles and does what is favourable for him in a given period of time and in specific circumstances that have developed at the moment. So he shows Putin that he is loyal to him, that he is ready to throw Belarus into the flames of war.

Lukashenka understands perfectly well that a direct war with Ukraine is the end not only of his regime, but even of the symbolic independence of Belarus that it has now.

The political analyst believes that Lukashenka is trying to impress Putin:

- He wants to show Moscow that it needs him. That he is acting in the format that the Kremlin wants from him, namely - the military mobilisation of society.
